Saints Release Offensive Lineman, Place Tight End on PUP
USA TODAY Sports

The Saints have release offensive lineman Billy Price, according to the NFL's Transaction Report on Thursday. The reasoning listed was for a non-football injury designation. New Orleans also placed tight end Miller Forristall on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.

The team hosted Price during minicamp in mid-June, which led them to eventually sign him along with receivers Keke Coutee and Lynn Bowden Jr. Price, who played collegiately at Ohio State, is a former first-round pick of the Bengals from 2018.

The Saints made a few moves recently with their rookie class, placing receivers A.T. Perry and Shaq Davis and running back Kendre Miller on the non-football injury list. Others like offensive lineman Nick Saldiveri and defensive back Anthony Johnson were placed on the PUP as well.

These moves are common ahead of training camp. Dennis Allen said at the final interview of minicamp that he only anticipated one player being questionable for the start of training camp, but was optimistic.
