The New Orleans Saints chose to address their offensive line in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Kelvin Banks Jr. joins the fold as a potential long-term answer at offensive tackle. With that addition, we could see a move along the OL for Trevor Penning and/or Taliese Fuaga this year.
Via a social media video from the Saints, we got a sneak peek at the offensive line unit that got reps this week. It may be the group, at certain spots, that makes the most sense for this season under Kellen Moore.
Taliese Fuaga is at right tackle, where he dominated to finish his college career before being a first-round pick in last year's draft. He played left tackle last year for New Orleans. Meanwhile, Banks Jr. has slotted into left tackle to begin workouts for the Saints.
Trevor Penning is now inside, sitting in at left guard. The Saints brought in some competition for the interior in Dillon Radunz, but the staff will surely give Penning plenty of chances to prove he can earn the starting job at a guard spot, too.
Here is what the New Orleans @Saints offensive line could look like in the 2025 season.

Erik McCoy remains at center, while Cesar Ruiz is at right guard. nos surprises there.
This shift inside could be fantastic for Penning. Where he finds success with his strength, his speed is sometimes put to its truest limit when he is playing tackle.
At his stature, he would be quite a large guard, but Kellen Moore has experience with some massive offensive linemen playing on the inside. Keep in mind - rookie quarterback Tyler Shough is listed at 6'5. He will not struggle to see over any off his OL in all likelihood at the pro level.
Trevor Penning was at left guard today, Kellen Moore said that they’ve seen him play tackle, now getting a look at him on the interior.

Said the transition is happening earlier for Penning than it did for Mekhi Becton and the Eagles last year.
All in all, Penning did make some strides last season. A move to guard could be exactly what he needs to try to supplant himself as a legitimate, long-term option at the NFL level.
