Madden ratings are prime offseason real estate. Folks love to discuss them while not much else is happening on the field around the NFL. Training camp is in full swing for the New Orleans Saints, but that will not prevent anyone from contemplating if this year's video game ratings suit their roster accurately.
We just got a look at the expected ratings for New Orleans' rookies via social media.
Check out all of the reported ratings for the rookie class for New Orleans. There are some surprising aspects to the ratings.
Shough is the second-lowest overall, which may surprise plenty of people. The creators at Madden clearly don't see him as a legitimate starter for the Saints this season most likely. We do not know the ratings for QBs Spencer Rattler or Jake Haener, though.
Banks got some deserved respect with his 76 overall rating. He is a player I would expect to rise by the time the middle of the season comes due to his strong play as a first-year talent in the NFL. I'm a bit surprised that Riley did not garner a couple more rating points. He's an impressive athlete who caught some buzz late in this year's draft cycle.
For the game's beta, the Saints had a team overall rating of 83, higher than many expected. It remains to be seen what their team rating will be on the game's actual release.
On the website for Madden NFL 26 beta, it specifically notes: “We can’t wait to tell you more about upcoming features & details in Madden NFL 26 via our Gridiron Notes, so stay tuned! We want to remind you that playbooks, ratings, and players in the closed beta are not final, and will be updated before the World Wide Launch of Madden NFL 26.” — Sports Illustrated
Madden 26 officially launches on August 14, 2025.
