San Francisco 49ers announce when they will get first look at Ricky Pearsall on the practice field

It will be a while before we see San Francisco 49ers' first-round pick Ricky Pearsall in a real NFL game.

But the Niners will get the chance to see him on the practice field next week after confirming the dates of their rookie minicamp.

San Francisco's class of eight rookies and their eight undrafted free agents will report for minicamp on May 9.

Practices will then take place on May 10 and May 11.

As the 49ers continue their offseason workout program with the NFL Draft in the books, most of the attention will be focused on the 31st overall pick.

However, minicamp also offers an opportunity for a host of other players who were not drafted or signed by San Francisco to state their case for a place on the roster.

Indeed, several players who received invites to the Niners' minicamp will hope to do enough to force their way into San Francisco's plans for the coming months as Kyle Shanahan's team builds towards the 2024 season.
