Why Barkley's popularity has grown since being in Philadelphia

Last season was a memorable year for Barkley as he led the NFL in rushing yards with 2.005 and ran for 13 touchdowns. He broke the NFL record for rushing yards in the regular season and playoffs, with 2,504. Barkley earned a Pro Bowl selection, a first-team All-Pro selection, and the Offensive Player of the Year award.

Barkley has had a stellar offseason as well, as he signed a two-year, $41 million extension with the Eagles to make him the highest-paid running back in NFL history. He was also recently named as the cover athlete on EA Sports' Madden NFL 26 video game.

NFL fans have been loving Barkley lately, from his backwards hurdle in the regular season to his humble demeanor when speaking to the media. He has been the model player for fans to follow and a great representation of the Eagles.

As long as Barkley wants to play in Philadelphia, he will be welcomed in the city by the fan base while gaining fans across the rest of the NFL teams as well.
