The Giants ' choice of Daniel Jones over Saquon Barkley is a big reason why they're in the situation they're currently in. And also why the Philadelphia Eagles are now two-time Super Bowl champions.
But the G-Men weren't the only ones to pass on last year's 2,000-yard rusher— so did the rest of the NFC East. Something that Saquon says he takes personal every time he suits up for a division game.
"Never heard a word from the Commanders or Dallas," Barkley revealed Saturday at a celebrity softball game. "That's why it's BTA [belt to ass] when I see them."

While Washington wasn't really in the market for a star running back, the same can't be said for the Dallas Cowboys. Ezekiel Elliott was well past his prime, the team had just let Tony Pollard walk in free agency and they didn't really address the position in the draft.
Jerry Jones took a lot of heat for passing up on Derrick Henry as well. A player that was very interested in playing for America's Team and described it as the "perfect situation" for him at the time.
3,926 combined yards later, Derrick and Saquon ran their way to All-Pro teams. While Dallas finished bottom-third in the league in rushing along with the Giants.
Who knows how it would've worked out in those other locations but Barkley has clearly found a home in Kelly Green. 2024 was far and away the best of his career and he believes he's just entering his prime now.
And with Philly's offensive line, perimeter weapons and steady quarterback play he may just be getting started in the City of Brotherly Love.
