Saquon Barkley will be exiting New York. The star running back will not play for the New York Giants next season. Instead, he will reportedly be the lead RB for the NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles.
Former Giants RB Saquon Barkley reached agreement with the Philadelphia Eagles on a three-year, $37.75 million contract that could be worth up to $46.75M and includes $26M fully guaranteed at signing, per sources.

Barkley now beats the franchise tag number and has a maximum… pic.twitter.com/d2TnEWhaQ0
Thank you to everyone who has shown me love and support over the past 6 years… forever grateful! Excited for the next chapter ✌

It's clear that Barkley had some interest in retiring, but it did not work out in the end. The Giants did not extend or franchise tag Barklety or safety Xavier McKinney, both fan favorite players.
Now, New York will look to replace two of the top talents on their roster during free agency and the 2024 NFL Draft. It will be an uphill battle.
