One of the NFL's best players reached the top of the mountain for the first time in his career on Sunday, as Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley became a Super Bowl champion.

Barkley joined the Eagles in free agency after spending the first six years of his career with the New York Giants. Barkley had a career year in Philadelphia, and was named the Offensive Player of the Year before taking home the championship on Sunday.

After the game, Barkley celebrated with his family, including his children and fiancee Anna Congdon.

Congdon shared photos and videos from the family's triumphant celebration on Sunday night, saying "Dear God, thank you for this moment."

The images included Barkley holding the Lombardi trophy and their children playing on the field at the Superdome in New Orleans.

Shortly before the Super Bowl, the couple revealed that they are engaged.

"I can't be the athlete I am and have the success I have so in my career without the help of her," the running back told People ahead of the Super Bowl.

"She's been super helpful and always has my back, not only in football but throughout life there's a lot that goes on. But as we continue to grow and mature and go through life together, we continue getting closer and continue to get even better."

Barkley was able to win the Super Bowl on his birthday, a gift he mentioned that he was looking forward to while revealing the engagement.

"The best birthday gift you can have is playing in the Super Bowl and the only thing better than that is winning the Super Bowl on your birthday," he told People.

Barkley rushed for 57 yards on Sunday and did not score, but the Eagles' dominance of the game meant that his personal excellence wasn't needed. Barkley's teammate Jalen Hurts walked away with the Super Bowl MVP award after throwing for two touchdowns and rushing for another.

It's the second Super Bowl in franchise history for the Philadelphia Eagles, but the day will certainly hold a special place in the hearts of Saquon Barkley and his family.
