Sauce Gardner makes two promises to Aaron Rodgers if he joins Jets

In the midst of rampant reports and swirling rumors surrounding Aaron Rodgers, Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner made the four-time MVP two promises on Twitter Tuesday if he joins the New York Jets.

When mentioning the cheesehead, Gardner is presumably referring to the attire he sported following the Jets' October victory over the Packers in which the Defensive Rookie of the Year had three tackles and two pass breakups.

It was reported Tuesday afternoon that Jets owner Woody Johnson, general manager Joe Douglas, head coach Robert Saleh, offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and "possibly others" were on their way to California to meet with Rodgers in person.

Hackett spent the 2019, 2020 and 2021 seasons working with Rodgers as the Packers offensive coordinator before failing to survive a full campaign as the Denver Broncos head coach in 2022. Hackett was hired as New York's offensive coordinator in late January, sending speculation that Rodgers would join "Gang Green" into overload.

Gardner wasn't the only promising Jets youngster to share his thoughts about the future-Hall-of-Fame signal-caller potentially joining New York. Dynamic running back Breece Hall joined in the action as well.

Both Gardner and Hall have been active recruiters of Rodgers this offseason, with the former saying in late January that he "wouldn't mind" if the Jets acquired the 39-year-old and Hall commenting on the situation as well.
