Seahawks Add CB Trevon Diggs To Practice Squad

That has indeed taken place now. Diggs is on the Seahawks’ taxi squad, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports. One of the team’s two summer cornerback signings is available to continue acclimating to the team while the other (Terrion Arnold) finds himself on the commissioner’s exempt list.

With Arnold’s legal situation unsettled, Seattle moved quickly in working out Diggs earlier this month. A deal was arranged, with a veteran minimum commitment being made. That resulted in no financial risk on the part of the Seahawks, leaving the door open to a cut ahead of the roster deadline being immediately followed by a practice squad return.

Diggs’ Cowboys run came to an unceremonious end late in the 2025 campaign. He briefly saw time with the Packers to finish out the year but that was followed by a lengthy free agent spell. A depth spot with the defending Super Bowl champions could help Diggs, 28 next month, rebuild his stock.

Seattle’s offseason included a market-topping extension for Devon Witherspoon. The team also managed to retain No. 2 cornerback Josh Jobe on a new deal. Depth behind those two remained a question mark through training camp, however, leading to the Seahawks’ interest in Arnold and then Diggs. Both are in the organization as Week 1 approaches, and it will be interesting to see if the latter finds his way onto the active roster before the start of the season.
