The Seattle Seahawks are one win away from reaching the NFL mountain top, and it appears they have some reinforcements coming in the nick of time.

The Seahawks had to take down two of their NFC West rivals to win the NFC Championship and now get their shot at revenge against the New England Patriots, who ended Seattle's Super Bowl hopes in 2015.

The Seahawks have been one of the best teams in the NFL all season and will look to finish as champions. It seems they had something up their sleeve for the big game, as they are getting an injured player back on the field.

Seahawks activating Chazz Surratt off the IR

Chazz Surratt joined the Seahawks this past offseason. The Minnesota Vikings selected him in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. After just one year, he was released and joined the New York Jets, where he appeared in 32 games over the last three seasons.

2024 was his best season, recording a career-high 28 total tackles and 2 tackles for loss. He became a very valuable special teams contributor for New York and joined the Seahawks in late August of 2025. In 11 games, he played 188 snaps, 181 of which came on special teams.

He recorded 11 total tackles for the Seahawks before being placed on the IR due to an ankle injury. He hasn't played since the team's Week 12 win over the Tennessee Titans, but now he is going to have the chance to make his return just in time to play in the Super Bowl. If he can play, this would be a significant boost to the Seahawks' special teams unit.
