The Seattle Seahawks are in the middle of an offseason sitting on top of the NFL world after defeating Drake Maye and the New England Patriots 29-13 in the 2026 Super Bowl. Led by veteran quarterback Sam Darnold, who did not throw an interception the entire playoffs, the Seahawks relied on their defense and run game to win Super Bowl LX.
Seattle, unsurprisingly for a title-winning squad, has a talented roster. Darnold finished No. 5 in the league with 4,048 passing yards, wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba led the NFL in receiving yards at 1,793 and their defense has a litany of stars.
Seattle has already been forced to make tough roster decisions early in free agency, such as letting Super Bowl MVP running back Kenneth Walker III walk to the Kansas City Chiefs, and losing edge rusher Boye Mafe to the Cincinnati Bengals. It turns out, the Seahawks have to make yet another roster decision after coming off a Super Bowl-winning season.
Jake Bobo is a 6-foot-4 wide receiver who entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2023. The UCLA Bruin product was signed by Seattle that offseason, and he has been a serviceable player for them, having 34 catches, 323 yards, and three touchdowns in his Seahawks career. His production fell off last season, having only two catches for 20 yards.
On Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston posted on X that the Jacksonville Jaguars signed Bobo, who is a restricted free agent, to an offer sheet. The Seahawks now have five days to match the offer for the wide receiver, with a deadline set for Wednesday.
"#Seahawks have until Wednesday (March 25) to match offer sheet for Jake Bobo from #Jaguars," Wilson wrote.
