Seahawks second round pick carted off with troubling injury

The Seattle Seahawks absorbed one big hit with wide receiver Jake Bobo out for the season. Now one more troubling NFL Injury arrived Sunday. This one involving second round selection Bud Clark against the Tennessee Titans.

The medical cart showed up for the safety after Titans running back Tony Pollard broke off a nine-yard run. But then an air cast got placed on his leg, signaling how troubling the injury is. Clark exited with the Seahawks leading 16-3 against the AFC South foe.

Clark arrived out of TCU, where he dealt with a previous late season injury. Yet he managed to suit up for the Alamo Bowl win over USC. He finished out the 2025 campaign with 56 tackles, seven pass breakups and picked off four passes.

Clark eventually joined a thin NFL Draft class for the reigning Super Bowl champs by falling to 64th overall. But he became slated to play a huge role for Seattle amid another key injury involving star safety Nick Emmanwori.

So now Clark’s ailment creates a new dilemma for head coach Mike Macdonald. Plus for general manager John Schneider, who’s earned a bevy of credit for building the Seahawks’ latest title winning contender. Clark, again, arrived to boost an already loaded secondary and add a new ballhawk on the backend.

Seattle still has veterans to turn toward amid this concerning Clark injury. Julian Love remains in place and enters his eighth NFL season. Rodney Thomas II and D’Anthony Bell are two more veterans with a combined nine league seasons for the Seahawks. But again, Clark leaving early sparks new concern for the defending champs.
