The Minnesota Vikings didn't have a lot of draft capital coming into this year's event, but they still managed to find a way to add to their quarterback room via trade.
Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Vikings and Seahawks swapped fifth-round picks on Sturday which also landed Sam Howell in Minnesota (a former fifth-round selection himself).

Once the Seahawks drafted Alabama's Jalen Milroe, the team quickly looked to find a new home for Howell — whom they acquired from the Washington Commanders last March.
After seeing action in just one game his rookie season, Howell was Washington's full-time starter in 2023 which resulted in a 4-13 record, a 63% completion percentage, 3,946 yards and a 1:1 touchdown-interception ratio (21).
Howell now slots in as QB2 behind projected starter J.J. McCarthy for the Purple and Gold where he'll attempt to get another shot at maybe relaunching his career under head coach Kevin O'Connell.
The former North Carolina Tar Heel struggled pretty badly when he was forced to step in for Geno Smith in 2024 — completing just 5 of his 14 attempts for 24 yards and an interception in a 30-13 loss to the Packers.
Minnesota also has 28-year-old veteran Brett Rypien under contract heading into the '25 campaign after letting Sam Darnold sign with Seattle for three-years, $105 million.
