Seahawks will return to full capacity for 2021 NFL season

The Seattle Seahawks were among the majority of NFL teams cleared last month to open their stadiums to full capacity for the 2021 season.

On Tuesday, the Seahawks confirmed their intentions to do just that.

Per John Boyle of the club's website, fans do not have to prove they're vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend any Seahawks games this year. However, unvaccinated patrons are to wear approved face coverings inside Lumen Field, but it's unclear how or if that policy will be strictly enforced.

Additionally, the Seahawks explained attendance policies for upcoming training camp sessions will be announced in the middle of July.

"Can't wait to see those 12s," coach Pete Carroll said while referencing the nickname for what has become one of the NFL's loudest fan bases. "Can't wait to see the 12s. I know they're coming, I know somebody is going to be in those stands. Can't wait to get you out there."

As with entities from around the world, Seattle's plans are subject to change based on COVID-19 variants and vaccination rates throughout the region. It's also unknown if vaccinated and unvaccinated Canadian fans will be permitted to cross the border for Seahawks games without having to quarantine upon their returns to Canada.
