Sean McVay not leaving Rams for TV job
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay has been the subject of persistent rumors about a possible television career. On Friday, McVay put that chatter to rest — at least for the 2022 season.

McVay told ESPN on Friday that he is not pursuing any television opportunities and intends to try to defend the Rams' Super Bowl title.

This is not an enormous surprise, but it does follow a period of sudden speculation about McVay’s future. Part of that is down to the fact that McVay could have apparently made a huge amount of money with a career change. McVay himself also added some fuel to the rumors with some comments he made prior to the Rams' Super Bowl win.

The Rams also appear more likely than not to get another key player back as well. That alone would make it a strange time for McVay to walk away from coaching.
