The Los Angeles Rams are preparing to take on the New England Patriots Thursday for the first time since Super Bowl LIII.
Things didn't go so well for Los Angeles in that game — it fell to the Bill Belichick-led Patriots 13-3.
Rams head coach Sean McVay hasn't forgotten about that loss, but revealed he's not dwelling on the past in preparation to face a wildly different Patriots team, who now has Cam Newton at quarterback.
Sean McVay remembers the Super Bowl vs the Patriots as "a very humbling night for myself, but you can't dwell on it. I didn't think I did nearly a good enough job for us to be crowned world champs."

The Rams are going to need much more than three points to beat the Patriots, who have won four of their last five games, on "Thursday Night Football."
However, it shouldn't be too difficult for Jared Goff to carve up New England's defense. L.A.'s offense is averaging about 25 points per game, and the Patriots' defense is giving up just over 21 points per contest.
Thursday night's game will be anything but redemption for the Rams. They'll be more focused on winning in order to take a solid lead in the NFC West over the Seattle Seahawks, who also are 8-4 on the season.
The Patriots, meanwhile, need a win to keep them in playoff contention in the AFC.
