Sean Payton makes bold prediction about Bo Nix that could change how everyone views the Broncos' future at quarterback

The Denver Broncos have found their franchise QB in Bo Nix, or so it appears. Heading into his rookie season, national media pundits were quick to downplay the Broncos roster with a rookie signal-caller at the helm after the disastrous Russell Wilson experience (sorry, Broncos fans).

What transpired was nothing short of miraculous. Not only did Nix shut down the critics, but he led his team to a playoff birth during his rookie year. Over the season, Nix matured rapidly, even getting some nods for rookie of the year, among Broncos fans, midway through his season.

Payton understands the importance of the QB position and has a history working with one of the very best to ever touch a football, Drew Brees. Speaking on what he expects from second-year player Bo Nix, Payton's words quickly went viral.

Speaking on Nix and his future in the NFL, Payton refused to hold back or mince his words: "He's going to be one of the top four or five quarterbacks in the league the next two years." And, mic drop.

If fans weren't already excited at what Nix can do in his second season, the team that Payton has built around the talented QB has the head coach talking Super Bowl. For a fanbase that hasn't been back to the Super Bowl in nearly a decade, in a division against one of the top teams across the NFL, Payton is more than confident in his team's abilities.

Per Zac Stevens from DNVR Broncos, Payton claimed, "This is a team capable of winning the Super Bowl. I've coached six teams that I thought could win the Super Bowl. Some went to championship games, some to the playoffs."

Super Bowl, and mention that the QB is going to be a top guy in the league over the next few seasons, might have Broncos fans turning to Bills Mafia to get some tables out to jump through, or maybe that's just me.

The Denver Broncos are building something special , and future Hall of Fame Head Coach Sean Payton can't seem to agree more. This team just feels different, and we won't have to wait long to see them in action as the team's first preseason game against the 49ers is coming up this Saturday, August 9.

Here's hoping Nix can avoid the infamous sophomore slump and help take his team to the next level this season. Payton and Nix seem more than ready for the challenge, and we can't wait to see what the two can accomplish together this upcoming season.
