The New Orleans Saints got down to business Monday at their temporary home in Dallas after Hurricane Ida, a Category 4 storm, devastated Southern Louisiana on Sunday.
Saints head coach Sean Payton told reporters that he does not expect the team to return to Louisiana this week due to widespread power outages and other damage in the state. He added that he's unsure if the team's Week 1 home opener against the Green Bay Packers on Sept. 12 would be played at Caesars Superdome.
"Obviously we'll have a Plan B," Payton said, according to ESPN's Mike Triplett. "There are a lot of other things probably from a priority standpoint that are more important for our city. But that all being said, we fully anticipate starting the regular season with Green Bay, and then the question would be where that game is at. [But] I don't see it being in Green Bay."
According to Jeff Duncan of the Times-Picayune, The Superdome survived Hurricane Ida without any significant structural damage, which is a good sign as the team hopes to return home soon.
The Superdome appears to have survived #HurricaneIda without any major structural damage, said Doug Thornton, the VP of stadiums for ASM Global. Thornton said Superdome staff conducted a walk-through damage assessment this morning & initially found only one "little window leak."

On Saturday, the Saints and their family members evacuated to Dallas with chartered flights from team owner Gayle Benson. They plan to practice at the Cowboys' AT&T Stadium until at least Wednesday. The team's plan beyond Wednesday is unclear.
The Saints are no stranger to relocating due to massive storms. The franchise had to evacuate New Orleans for an entire season after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and have moved practices out of the city on multiple occasions over the years.
Hopefully they'll be able to return to New Orleans next week.
