As a lifelong die-hard fan of the Seattle Seahawks, here is my unbiased prediction for the 2022 Seattle Seahawks season. With a new quarterback under center, no Wagner on defense, and several other moving pieces, we’re in for a unique year.
Personally, I will be attending this game in person on Monday Night Football. My guess is that Russell comes in to prove a point. He will put up three touchdowns, but ultimately the Seahawks will stun them 28-24.
1-0
Playing in San Francisco hasn’t been Seattle’s strong suit as of late. After a hot start to the season, the Seahawks drop this one against Trey Lance 14-21.
1-1
Marcus Mariota will surprise people and have a decent year. But without Julio Jones, and an average running back core, the Seahawks pull off this home victory with a 31-17 victory.
2-1
Detorit finished the 2021 campaign with a 3-13 record which is nothing to be worried about. With a few minor moves in the offseason, I see them having a better year, but not enough to take down the Hawks 35-21.
3-1
Jameis Winston, Alvin Kamara, Jarvis Landry, and Michael Thomas are going to put up big numbers this year. Playing in New Orleans is always a tough environment and the Seahawks drop this one 42-24
3-2
Kyler Murray may have just gotten a 5-year extension, however, DeAndre Hopkins won’t return until week 7. For this reason, the Seahawks charge ahead to win a close 17-14 game versus the Cardinals.
4-2
The Los Angeles Chargers are no joke. QB Justin Herbert is a gunslinger and a top 10 quarterback by far. The Seahawks lose an overwhelming 35-13.
4-3
Daniel Jones and the often banged-up Saquan Barkley will have to head into Seattle. The Hawks will pull off an expected victory over the Giants by a score of 27-14.
5-3
By this point in the season, Arizona will have Hopkins back which will lead to a high scoring battle between him and D.K. Seattle drops this one 35-28.
5-4
Seattle heads to Tampa Bay to face Tom Brady. Many will expect Brady to roll through the 5-4 Seahawks, but the Hawks will pull off a close game, winning 17-21.
6-4
I predict that the Seahawks will get phenomenal rest on week 11.
The Las Vegas Raiders added high-powered Devontae Adams to the mix and now Carr has someone excellent to work with downfield. The raiders begin finding their form late into the season and steal this one from the Seahawks 21-14.
6-5
The defending Super Bowl Champions locked in Cooper Kupp and several other key players. With the addition of Seattle’s Bobby Wagner, they’re going to be an extremely difficult team to face. Seattle drops this game 24-10.
6-6
Seattle returns home after a tough loss to LAR and takes care of business against Carolina. Baker Mayfield and McCaffrey will put up numbers, but not enough as the Seahawks win 27-21.
7-6
Another home game and the playoffs are approaching fast. The Seahawks win an urgent game against San Francisco the second time around in front of the 12s. Final score 21-17.
8-6
The Hawks are back on the road against a tough Kansas City team. Even without speedy Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs pull off the win 28-10.
8-7
The New York Jets aren’t any team to be afraid of, but if you’re caught sleeping on them, they’ll show up. The Hawks take care of business with a 31-10 victory.
9-7
The final game of the NFL Regular season ends in a tough loss against the LA Rams meaning the Seahawks finish the season 9-8, hoping for a wild card spot.
Seattle’s schedule is tough. They’re going to have to travel for some tough games such as Tampa Bay, LAR, LAC, and Kansas City.
My prediction is that the Hawks aren’t going to do as poorly as many believe they will. It is a reloading type of season, however, they won’t actually come into full form until the start of the 2023 season.
