Shannon Sharpe is about to secure one of the biggest media deals in sports history.
According to Front Office Sports, Sharpe is expected to sign a new contract worth more than $100 million following the end of his partnership with Colin Cowherd’s The Volume podcast network.
The former NFL tight end has received multiple offers and is weighing his next move, and is expecting a deal to be finalized soon.
Sharpe joined The Volume in August 2023, just a few months after stepping away from FS1’s "Undisputed," where he became one of the most recognizable voices in sports debate alongside Skip Bayless.
Not long after launching Club Shay Shay, the show quickly skyrocketed into one of the top sports and entertainment podcasts in the country.
On YouTube especially, Club Shay Shay became a powerhouse, pulling in millions of views thanks to Sharpe’s interviews with celebrities, athletes, and cultural figures.
His blend of humor, storytelling, and unfiltered conversation helped him build a loyal following that extended far beyond traditional sports fans.
While his media brand continues to grow, Sharpe’s credibility in the space is rooted in his football career.
Over 14 NFL seasons, he posted 815 receptions, 10,060 receiving yards, and 62 touchdowns while winning three Super Bowl titles—two with Denver and one with Baltimore.
Now, he’s leveraging that career—and his massive online presence—into one of the most valuable contracts in modern sports media.
Sharpe hasn’t confirmed which direction he’ll go next, but the offers are clearly there.
With his popularity surging and his audience continuing to grow, his next move could reshape the podcast and sports talk space for years to come.
