The Cleveland Browns’ quarterback room before the 2025 NFL Draft and after is a lot different. Cleveland made a surprise move by taking two quarterbacks in the draft.

Cleveland made a shock in the third round when they took Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel, a player that most people had as a Day 3 prospect. The slide of Shedeur Sanders left the Browns in a spot where they couldn’t pass up the value of taking him in the third round.

Sanders was a first to second-round prospect by essentially every draft guru and ended up falling in the draft. The general thought is that the pre-draft decisions by Sanders in interviews and decisions on testing and drills played a part. Now that he is with the Browns, Sanders has big aspirations.

"I'm trying to bring Cleveland, of course, a Super Bowl," Sanders said in an appearance at John Marshall High School. Wednesday

With Sanders is in the Northeast Ohio area, he’s already making a mark in the community. As far as saying he wants to win a Super Bowl, well, that would be accomplishing something that the Browns have never been able to do. Sanders stopped at a local high school during his first week in the area to speak to students. The newest member of the Browns has a large platform and a lot of youth following his play style.

Now that the Browns have added two rookies to the QB room, there is going to be a whole lot of competition from now until the end of training camp for the job. Veteran Joe Flacco and fourth-year quarterback Kenny Pickett were already in the room.

Sanders as a fifth-round pick isn’t a lock to make the roster and will have to battle for a result. At least early on, he is doing the right things that fans will want to see since being drafted by the Browns.
