Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders made an emotional request more than a month after a robbery shook his rookie season.

Speaking to reporters days before the New Year, Sanders said he is open to receiving gifts. Sanders is earning about $1.2 million, but the loss still hit hard. His comments followed a break-in that left him without many personal items.

"I really love gifts," Sanders said. "I don't think for Christmas - I got much. So if anybody out there wanna send me gifts, I'll post my PO box online and just please send clothes, anything, jewelry, bags, 'cause my - all my bags got stolen when my house got robbed."

The robbery happened on November 16 while Sanders was making his NFL debut. Police said about $200,000 in property was taken from his home. Three masked suspects entered at 6:46 p.m. and left minutes later. Surveillance video even captured their movements inside the house.

Burglaries have targeted star athletes across the NFL. Players like Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have faced similar crimes. The trend has raised concern among teams and players.

On the ice, the focus stayed on execution as Sanders delivered a mixed outing on Sunday. He finished 17 of 23 passes for 186 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in a 13-6 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Sanders started fast, moving the offense early, but momentum faded after the opening drives. Costly mistakes followed, though Pittsburgh failed to capitalize.

Cleveland is already out of the playoffs, and they sit 4-12, last in the AFC North. Offensive struggles have defined the year, amid injuries and inconsistency piling up. The season ends on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals.
