Shedeur Sanders is set to make his first start of the season on Sunday for the Cleveland Browns, and his social media team was ready for the occasion.

Sanders on Saturday shared a hype video ahead of his Week 9 start against the New Orleans Saints. The video features several highlights of the quarterback’s play mixed in with some close-ups of the player himself.

Opinion on the video was divided, with many fans suggesting that it was a bit much for a backup quarterback making his first start of the year.

In a certain sense, the polarizing responses are pretty indicative of the two schools of how Sanders is viewed. Either this is cool, or it’s over-the-top and too self-promotional.

Sanders does, of course, have the right to promote himself. Maybe he feels like he has to do something after the Browns’ social media team did him dirty during preseason.
