Shedeur Sanders shares new social media post amid dramatic NFL Draft slide

Shedeur Sanders slid further down the NFL Draft board than almost anyone could have imagined, but the former Colorado quarterback did what he could to stay positive.

Sanders was not selected in the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night, which was not all that surprising given some of the unflattering reports that emerged about him in recent weeks. But then Sanders didn't hear his name called in the second or third round on Friday night, and that was downright shocking.

He slid all the way down to pick No. 144, the Cleveland Browns decided to take a chance on him.

What has made the situation even more awkward is that Sanders has his own draft watch party room set up in Colorado, complete with slogans and everything.

Before the fourth round of the NFL Draft got underway on Saturday, Sanders sent a positive message via social media.

"Another day another opportunity to get a chance to play the game I love. Thank you GOD #LEGENDARY," Sanders wrote on X.

Most analysts thought the floor for Sanders was pick No. 21 overall, which belonged to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Instead, the Steelers and other teams have passed on Sanders multiple times.

It has become evident at this point that most teams view Sanders as a backup quarterback at best. When Sanders does eventually land with a team, he should be more motivated than any player in NFL history to prove his doubters wrong.
