Should Bills' Dalton Kincaid Be Top 10 Tight End?

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid burst onto the scene during his rookie season, and some thought he was on a trajectory that would have him as a top tight end in 2024.

However, injuries and a loss of form prevented Kincaid from matching his rookie exploits, as the Bills' offense continued to hum along without him being a significant factor.

But as we turn for training camp and the 2025 season, Kincaid needs to bounce back and become Josh Allen's security blanket as he was in his rookie season. Do that and he'll likely replicate his efforts from 2023, and be catapulted higher in the tight end rankings.

However, as things currently stand, is Dalton a top 10 tight end? In ESPN's rankings, no, but he does come in the "honorable mention" category, with an NFL personnel director and an AFC scout giving their thoughts on Kincaid.

"Athletic, he can run, elite hands and ball skills plus his QB will make him productive." - NFL personnel director.

"I think he's going to have a big bounce-back year." -- AFC scout.

That's a lot of love ... still.

Considering the Bills' offense put up on average, 30.9 points per game last season without Kincaid being a key part, as he posted 40+ receiving yards just five times in a game.

But if he can avoid the injury bug, there is every chance that Dalton returns to the form that had some thinking he was on a path towards being at the top of the position.

Training camp will be used to build a foundation for the upcoming season and to build the chemistry up with Allen again in the hopes that Kincaid can be one of Buffalo's top weapons under Joe Brady.

And if Kincaid has the type of season Buffalo wants from him, come this time next year, he might just be seen as a top 10 tight end in football.
