Should the Packers sign Pro Bowl DE Ndamukong Suh?

The Green Bay Packers already have a much more talented defensive line than in years past. Kenny Clark is the Pro Bowl anchor. Dean Lowry is another seven-year veteran. The team signed Jarran Reed to a one-year deal this offseason (career high in sacks is 10.5). T.J. Slaton is a massive run-stuffer in the middle. Georgia's Devonte Wyatt was one of Green Bay's two first-round draft choices. 

The Packers are deeper on the interior defensive line than they have been in a long, long time. However, the team has 89 players on their official roster with one more spot left on the 90-man roster. They also have roughly $17M in cap space. What if they added even more to the interior of their defense with an old division rival in Ndamukong Suh? 

Suh is one of the elite defensive tackles and pass rushers of the last decade. He is a five-time Pro-Bowl selection and five-time All-Pro selection. He is a member of the 2010 NFL All-Decade Team. He also helped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers win the Super Bowl in 2020 (LV). The former Nebraska star has started each of his 191 career games and has played 11 full seasons out of his 12-year career. He has over 70 career sacks, 590 career tackles, 130 tackles for loss and over 210 career quarterback hits. He has put together a Hall of Fame career. There is no question about that.

Again, the Green Bay Packers have plenty of cap space available (roughly $17M). They have plenty of depth on their defensive line, but they have no players over the age of 30. Perhaps, Suh's experience could help Green Bay become even wiser and tougher defensively. Packer fans know all too well Suh's battles against the Packers when he was a member of the Lions from 2010-2014. He is a fantastic player and one that could help this team reach the Super Bowl.
