Six-time Pro Bowl RB LeSean McCoy reveals why he signed with Buccaneers

What made LeSean McCoy sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Nice weather and a six-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback.

"I'm in Tampa. Nice weather and I'm playing with Tom Brady. How can you beat that?" McCoy said, via NFL Network.

McCoy joins an already loaded offense in Tampa Bay. Brady's arsenal of weapons includes Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Rob Gronkowski. However, the team's backfield leaves much to be desired, with no clear backup behind Ronald Jones, who still has to prove he can be a featured NFL back. That makes it an ideal situation for McCoy, who should have an opportunity to get touches.

Along with Tampa Bay, McCoy revealed he considered rejoining the Eagles as well. He said the team reached out, and the interest appears to have been mutual. McCoy said Philadelphia "was another big one that I really wanted to explore."

But he eventually landed on Tampa Bay, which does not have Philadelphia's cold winters. Instead, it has Tom Brady, who has won more Super Bowls than every franchise except for the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots, who have not won a Super without Brady.

Last season, McCoy rushed for 465 yards and four touchdowns for the Kansas City Chiefs, winning the first Super Bowl of his career, though Chiefs had an overcrowded backfield, with McCoy only getting one carry during their postseason run. McCoy currently has 11,071 career rushing yards, the third-most among active players, behind only Frank Gore and Adrian Peterson.
