Skip Bayless Reveals Target Cowboys Must Take In Second Round
Annie Rice/Avalanche-Journal / USA TODAY NETWORK

Currently, the Dallas Cowboys find themselves facing a scarcity of options in their running back department.

With Tony Pollard’s departure, the roster includes Rico Dowdle, Deuce Vaughn, Royce Freeman, and Malik Davis, leaving a noticeable void to fill.

Speculation swirls regarding the return of Ezekiel Elliott, yet it’s apparent that the team requires a primary ball carrier.

NFL analyst and devoted Cowboys enthusiast Skip Bayless recently advocated for the selection of Michigan standout Blake Corum in the second round of the NFL Draft.

During a segment on “Undisputed,” Bayless drew parallels between Corum and Cowboys icon Emmitt Smith, citing their similar physique, exceptional balance, and resilience on the field. Bayless even credited Corum with essentially propelling Michigan to a National Championship.

While the running back talent pool in this draft class may not overflow, Corum emerges as one of the premier prospects. The Cowboys, armed with the No. 56 pick, could potentially secure Corum’s services.

Corum’s collegiate achievements are impressive, having set a school record with 27 rushing touchdowns in a single season and departing Ann Arbor as the program’s all-time leader in career rushing touchdowns with 58.

His tenure under the tutelage of coach Jim Harbaugh, whose coaching style mirrors that of the NFL, further augments his readiness for the professional stage.

However, whether the Dallas Cowboys will seize this opportunity remains uncertain, as organizational decisions often diverge from fan and analyst recommendations.
