Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are back in action on Sunday in a much-anticipated matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Kelce entered this game looking to build on his performance in Kansas City’s 28-7 win over the Washington Commanders in Week 8. The All-Pro tight end caught six passes from Patrick Mahomes for a game-high 99 yards and one touchdown, as Kelce helped lead the Chiefs to their third straight victory.
Kansas City is now looking to make it four in a row, but the Bills will do everything in their power to make sure that Kelce and Co. go home empty-handed on Sunday.
As expected, there has been no shortage of action in the matchup thus far. In fact, Kelce took a brutal hit late in the first half from Bills safety Cole Bishop. The Chiefs star got decked after an incomplete play and was seen exiting the field with the trainers before the halftime break.
A slow-mo video of the tackle is currently making its rounds on social media, and it’s hard to watch.

Mahomes’ pass was behind Kelce, and the Chiefs TE could not make the catch. Kelce did not see Bishop rushing in as the Bills safety drove his shoulder right into Kelce’s ribs. Buffalo linebacker Terrel Brand can also be seen shoving Kelce to the ground after the hard hit.
The good news for Kelce is that he appears to have dodged an injury here. Despite his early exit before the break, the 36-year-old was back on the field for the second half.
As of writing, the Bills are up 21-13. Kelce currently leads his team in receiver yards with 53 on three catches.
