Smith-Njigba Returns After Giving Seahawks Injury Scare vs. Titans
© Steven Bisig, USA TODAY

Seattle Seahawks rookie receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba gave the team and fans alike a notable injury scare in the first half of Sunday's meeting with the Tennessee Titans in Nashville.

After trying to extend for a touchdown grab in the back of the end zone, JSN lost his footing and slipped before his knees slammed into the wall. He got up and started limping near the tunnel, but eventually returned to the sidelines without assistance.

He was then back on the field for Seattle's next possession near the end of the half.

Here's a look at what happened:

The scary sight of Smith-Njigba slamming into the wall certainly made 12s nervous considering what the rookie has done this season. He is coming off one of the most memorable games of his young NFL career in Week 15's 20-17 over the Philadelphia Eagles, as Smith-Njigba caught a game-winning 29-yard touchdown with 28 seconds to play.

"I'm telling you, he was so chilled," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said. "He just made the catch of his NFL career. He was just as calm and poised. He's a great competitor. I'm serious about when what I'm saying here. This guy, it was not too big a deal. It was like no big deal, of course I made that catch. He's been doing that his whole life. It's that kind of confidence and savvy that allows a guy to separate from other players. He's got that stuff in him. I was incredibly impressed with that. I caught a couple glimpses of him in between all the craziness and all that stuff. He was just on top of it. Really impressive."
