Social media's reaction to Eagles' Tush Push not being banned did not disappoint

It was a whirlwind morning for Philadelphia Eagles fans as they thought they would be grieving over the loss of the Tush Push, but were delighted with the news that it will stay.

On Wednesday, 22 NFL teams voted in favor of the Green Bay Packers' proposal to ban the Tush Push due to concerns with "players' safety" and "pace of play." They were two short of the votes needed to pass, so the Eagles can continue using the Tush Push for the 2025 season.

The biggest takeaways from the meeting were how Eagles chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie and former Eagles center Jason Kelce's speeches helped get enough votes for the proposal not to pass. Another was that the New York Jets, New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, and Detroit Lions were among those who opposed the proposal.

This news will bring Eagles fans joy, giving them a win before the 2025 campaign starts. What happened afterwards was just the cherry on top of the cake.

How social media reacted to the Tush Push not being banned news

A wide variety of reactions from fans and media helped tell the story of how people felt about the vote in the first place. One of the Eagles fans' favorite TV personality, NFL Network's Kyle Brandt, said what every Philadelphia fan was thinking.

"The Tush Push lives. Good. Now do it Week 10 @ Packers on MNF. Do it first play of the game. Do it 10x during the game. Then do it last play of the game, instead of a kneel down."

The company Sleeper had its reaction to the news. This was hilarious as it showed the kid referring to "Know-It-All" from the hit holiday movie The Polar Express.

"The Packers trying to get the tush push banned:"

There were some who were looking at the consequences of the Tush Push. NBC4 Sports and 106.7 The Fan Washington media member JP Finlay shared his concerns that the league will see more plays similar to what happened in the NFC Championship game, with the Commanders and Frankie Luvu jumping over the line of scrimmage multiple times before the referees threatened them with a penalty and an automatic score.

Barstool Sports' show "Pardon My Take" paid their respects to the Eagles for posting a 26-minute video on YouTube of every Tush Push play the Eagles ran.

"THIS LEAGUE!!!! Eagles post 26 minutes of the Tush Push on their YouTube channel"

The last gem has to go to the Eagles' social media team, which was on fire. From the picture of the Tush Push against the Packers to the 26-minute video of the play, their content was gold.

Eagles fans will have fun on social media, but the drama of the unknown is gone, and now the team can focus on winning back-to-back Super Bowls.
