The Maxx Crosby trade saga continues, as the Las Vegas Raiders defensive end reportedly wants out of the AFC West team, but won’t throw a public fit about it. Ever since he was shut down near the end of the 2025 season, Crosby was mentioned in multiple trade rumors.

Back in February, NFL insider Dianna Russini said that Crosby wanted to join the New England Patriots.

“Maxx Crosby doesn’t seem too happy in Las Vegas,” Russini said. “I know he wants to play for Mike Vrabel. He’s told me before.”

A month later, the situation appears to have changed. Crosby shared an Instagram story on Wednesday that pretty much indicated where he would like to play next. Using a song from Shaboozey, Crosby mentioned an NFL team.

“I’m a lone-a** Cowboy stuck in my jeans,” the player sang.

The Dallas Cowboys reportedly tried to make a move for him before the trade deadline, but nothing materialized. Instead, they traded for DT Quinnen Williams and LB Logan Wilson, whom they released a couple of weeks ago.

Dallas Cowboys Are Again In The Mix For Maxx Crosby

NFL reporter Jane Slater shared on Thursday that a move to the Cowboys was in play for Maxx Crosby. A team source told the reporter that the Lone Star isn’t willing to pay the Raiders’ asking price.

“Raiders are talking to a lot of people. But we would not give up two first rounders,” Slater tweeted.

She noted that the first time the Cowboys traded two first-rounders, they landed Joey Galloway. She added that amid all the changes the front office has made and what they plan to make, they might not be motivated to send that haul.

Still, Slater noted that sending a first-rounder and one player would work for the Cowboys.

Dallas has the No. 12 and No. 20 pick in the upcoming draft. They will likely use them to improve the defense, but adding Crosby could have a major impact, too.
