The Buffalo Bills know that in order to knock off a team like the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs, the team needs their full collection of starters on the field at all times.
On Sunday, it appears to be the case moving forward.
Starting right tackle Spencer Brown - a player who has missed practice this week and dealing with an ankle injury - is non-committal about missing Sunday's showdown.
In fact, the veteran tackle believes there's a good chance he can suit up moving forward.
“Optimistic for Sunday,” Brown said. “Training staff and myself are doing a good job of maximizing every single day. I’ve been here early in the morning, staying until 7:00, 6:30 at night here. Just optimizing all the time we have. Hopefully I can go on Sunday, it’s too early to tell right now. Hopefully by the end of the week, we’ll know more. If I can’t, though, [Ryan Van Demark] will be stepping in.”
Brown is just one starter who is dealing with an injury on Sunday. Wide receivers Keon Coleman and Amari Cooper, and tight end Dalton Kincaid are all questionable going into Sunday's game.
Coleman is the lone player who has been ruled completely out.
With Josh Allen as the starting quarterback, it's clear that the Bills should be fine offensively with any collection of receivers moving forward. It's the offensive line, though, that needs to be healthy against an elite front of the Chiefs.
With Brown confident in playing, Buffalo will get their wish.
