St. Michael’s junior quarterback, Gunner Rivers is entering his third season as a starter for the Cardinals.
Rivers has multiple offers next to his name including offers from North Carolina State, Georgia, Auburn, Miami and others. His father Philip Rivers, who is a former NFL quarterback and the head football coach at St. Michael’s Catholic, recently provided an update on his recruitment so far.
“Gunner has visited Alabama, Auburn, Texas and North Carolina State,” Phillip Rivers told Touchdown Alabama. “But I would say he is still keeping all options open at this point.”
The four-star told reporters in July he plans to visit North Carolina State, Auburn and Alabama in the fall, per Ben Thomas of AL.com.
Rivers, at 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds, is among the top 2027 quarterbacks in the country. His natural feel for the game and IQ are off the charts. Last season, he accounted for 3,947 yards and 36 touchdowns.
