Stat predictions from ESPN analyst projects massive seasons for Los Angeles Rams talented wide receiver room

With the Los Angeles Rams' roster mostly set for the upcoming 2025 NFL season, fans and analysts are preparing to project how they will fare in the upcoming season.

ESPN's Mike Clay projected season stats for the Rams' top players on offense and defense for fantasy purposes in an effort to parse through who to draft and who to avoid.

One interesting note is that Clay doesn't predict that any of the Rams' rookies will play a large role in 2025 (I would disagree on Terrance Ferguson). However, what drew my attention was Clay's prediction for the Rams' wide receiver room, particularly between Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.

  • Puka Nacua: 144 targets, 99 catches, 1,312 yards, 6 TDs (13 carries, 77 yards, 1 TD)
  • Davante Adams: 126 targets, 79 catches, 1,080 yards, 8 TDs

With both receivers projected to get over a thousand receiving yards, this would actually set a bit of a recent record for the Rams. The Rams haven't had a thousand-yard duo since Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods accomplished this in 2019.

Sean McVay openly admitted months ago that he wanted to run the Rams' offense through Puka Nacua, but to do so, he needed a wide receiver who could get open effectively on his own opposite of Nacua to keep defenses honest and draw coverage away, hence the signing of Davante Adams.

Between the two of them, I dare say this is the Rams' most talented wide receiver duo since their Super Bowl run of Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham Jr in 2021, and these projections reflect that.

Tutu Atwell was projected to finish with 43 receptions for 538 yards and two touchdowns, setting a career-high in receptions and rebounding after posting zero touchdowns in 2024.
