The Pittsburgh Steelers are headed to the playoffs. Thanks to the Jacksonville Jaguars X-X loss to the Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh is headed back to the postseason, clinching the final AFC wildcard spot.
The Steelers were supposed to be glued to the television all afternoon, watching to see if they earn a place in the postseason. After their win over the Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh needed one of three things to happen - the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts to tie, the Jaguars to lose, or the Buffalo Bills to lose to the Miami Dolphins. Without a tie between Houston and Indianapolis, they were headed to the second day of Week 18 games.
Without much suspense built up, the Steelers got the help they needed to head to "the dance."
Pittsburgh's playoff spot is yet to be determined, and who they'll play in the wildcard round won't be finalized until after the Bills and Dolphins primetime showdown.
If the Bills lose, the Steelers will earn the 6th seed in the AFC and travel to Kansas City to play the Chiefs. If Buffalo wins, the Steelers will be the 7th seed and head to Orchard Park, New York, to take on the Bills
The Steelers will wait and see if superstar linebacker T.J. Watt is able to play in the wildcard round after suffering a grade 2 MCL sprain in Week 18 against the Ravens. However, they are expecting to have All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick back on the field after missing multiple weeks with a knee injury.
