The Pittsburgh Steelers have a Super Bowl-winning quarterback and head coach in tow, but you'd never know that from the scoreboard last weekend.
Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy came out of the team's game against the New England Patriots with a dismal 20-3 loss and lots of questions. The team's offense had a poor showing. The team was only able to get three points on the board and 235 total yards of offense.
It's only one game, but in the NFL, first impressions mean a lot going into each season. The teams that do well out of the gate often have the momentum to get the fans on their side and make a real playoff push. So, what do the Steelers need to do to get to that point?
In a feature for ESPN on Wednesday, Dan Graziano said that the team is open to changes. It's a bit early in the season for drastic changes, but maybe that's just what this team needs.
"[Offensive lineman Mason] McCormick said the corrections they felt they had to make last week were all 'little things,' but after the loss to the Patriots, it seemed clear the Steelers would be open to more significant change this week," Graziano notes in his insider report.
"Two players I'd be watching for potentially increased roles in the offense are running back Jaylen Warren and wide receiver Roman Wilson as Pittsburgh looks for ways to get into an offensive rhythm," he adds.
So, the Steelers are already looking to shake things up. They'll have that chance when they take the field on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
