Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cameron Heyward reached out to singer-songwriter Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce early Monday morning, letting the newest power couple know that his team may need help with transportation.
The Steelers' charter plane from Las Vegas made an emergency landing in Kansas City early Monday following the team's "Sunday Night Football" road victory against the Raiders.
After weeks of swirling rumors regarding a possible romance, Swift was spotted at Arrowhead Stadium not only attending the Chiefs' Week 3 blowout victory against the Chicago Bears, but sitting with the All-Pro's mother, Donna Kelce, as well. The couple was also seen leaving the stadium together following the hosts 41-10 win.
In his post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Heyward also jokingly blamed one of his teammates (All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick) for the travel issues.
Yo @taylorswift13 & @tkelce we might need a ride to Pittsburgh

Steelers senior director of communications Burt Lauten posted on social media that everyone on the plane was safe and that the team was "making necessary plans to arrive back in Pittsburgh" later on Monday.
Per an ESPN report, "multiple Pittsburgh media outlets" said that the aircraft landed at KCI Airport at 3:55 a.m. CT because of "oil pressure failure in one of the engines."
According to Pittsburgh CBS affiliate KDKA -- which had a news crew on the plane -- fire trucks were at the scene inspecting the plane. KDKA also reported that a replacement plane was expected to arrive in Kansas City at 9 a.m. CT to pick up the 182 passengers and transport them to back to Pittsburgh.
