Indianapolis Colts (7-1) at Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3)

The Steelers and Colts square off Sunday in their 45th all-time meeting, with Pittsburgh holding a commanding 33-11 series lead—including a dominant 20-3 mark at home. But this year’s Colts squad isn’t backing down. Indianapolis enters Week 9 at 7-1 for the first time since 2009, boasting the NFL’s top scoring offense (33.8 ppg) and total yardage (385.3 ypg), led by Daniel Jones and Jonathan Taylor. Jones has a 136 passer rating in Week 8 and is tied for the league lead with seven 100+ rating games, while Taylor leads the NFL in scrimmage yards (1,056), rushing yards (850), and touchdowns (14).

Pittsburgh counters with Aaron Rodgers, who ranks tied-third in TD passes (16) and owns a 104.9 career rating vs. Indy. D.K. Metcalf and rookie Roman Wilson headline the receiving corps, while the defense leans on T.J. Watt’s 5.5 career sacks vs. the Colts and a +4 takeaway margin. Despite ranking 32nd in pass defense, the Steelers remain dangerous at home, where they’ve posted a .929 win rate vs. Indy since the 1970 merger—fourth-best in NFL history.

This one’s a clash of elite offensive firepower vs. legacy home dominance—and it’s loaded with playoff implications.

Sunday’s game will mark the 45th overall and 40th regular-season meeting between the Steelers and Colts.
The Steelers own a 22-game advantage in the overall series (33-11) and a 17-game lead in the regular-season series (28-11).
