Steelers HC Mike Tomlin attacks officiating after OT victory over Seahawks

Sure, the Pittsburgh Steelers were able to pull out the win on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. But head coach Mike Tomlin certainly wasn't happy with how it went down.

The veteran head coach aired his grievances following the 23-20 overtime victory, furious with a replay review in the final seconds of regulation that awarded the Seahawks extra seconds on the game clock to attempt a game-tying field goal.

"I hated it," Tomlin said postgame, via ESPN. "I cannot believe that game was stopped to confirm catch - no catch in that moment. That's all I'm going to say.

"It was an embarrassment."

Steelers players on the field weren't too happy either in the heat of the moment. Both teams were lining up at the line of scrimmage to finish out the game when the officials stopped the clock to review whether Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf caught a pass from Geno Smith. Following the review and confirmation of the catch, Seattle was awarded extra seconds on the clock.

This is far from the first time NFL refs have been criticized this season. At least, in the Steelers' case, they were able to rally in OT to pull out the win and put the seemingly unnecessary review in the rearview mirror as they head into their bye week.
