The Pittsburgh Steelers made another big splash by trading for All-Pro CB Jalen Ramsey.
That's not the kind of move a team without Super Bowl aspirations makes, especially after acquiring a big-money wide receiver like D.K. Metcalf and signing Aaron Rodgers.
That's why this team might not be done shaking things up. While some reports stated that Ramsey might see some snaps at safety to make up for the loss of Minkah Fitzpatrick, team insider Mark Kaboly believes the team will continue to be aggressive:
"To think that [GM Omar] Khan isn’t interested in adding to the safety position with a trade or in free agency… You are mistaken," Kaboly said. “There is no waiting around and seeing what happens with Khan. He and his staff scour the league for potential players they can add and, if it makes sense, they make the deal.”
The Steelers have one of the strongest defenses in the game, and while their offense still has some question marks, they know their best chance of making a deep postseason run will come on the other side of the field.
As such, and after so many years without a playoff win, this team will leave no stone unturned in their pursuit of talent:
“You can’t sit here today and think this is the complete roster that the Steelers will start the season with,” added Kaboly.
This team will have its work cut out for it in the AFC North, but it seems like they're done playing catch-up.
