Steelers interview ESPN's Louis Riddick for GM job

The Pittsburgh Steelers are conducting a search for a new general manager and interviewed a media personality for the job.

The Steelers announced on Wednesday that they had interviewed Louis Riddick this week for their GM job.

Kevin Colbert has been the Steelers’ GM since 2000. However, he will be stepping down after the NFL Draft, which is why the team is conducting a search.

Riddick has been an analyst in ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” booth for the past two seasons. His time in the MNF booth may be ending thanks to the network’s hiring of Troy Aikman.

Riddick, 55, last worked in an NFL front office as the director of pro personnel with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013. Riddick began with the Eagles as a scout in 2008 and was with the team until 2013. He worked in Washington’s front office prior to that. He also appeared in 94 games over six NFL seasons as a player.
