Steelers' Joey Porter Jr. is going to love the latest 2024 NFL mock draft

We still have the Super Bowl, the NFL Scouting Combine, and free agency on deck, but the draft is fast approaching in the league.

Come this time next week, all 32 teams will redirect their focus on making their teams better next season via offseason acquisitions.

And if the Pittsburgh Steelers follow the pair of mocks that A to Z Sports just released, they're going to be just fine:

Steelers Select Alabama CB Terrion Arnold

The Steelers finally hit on a rookie CB with Joey Porter Jr. looking like the real deal last season. And I have them trying to double up by adding Alabama's Terrion Arnold. I have Arnold as my CB 2 in this upcoming class, but many view him as their top CB. Getting Porter Jr. a reliable running mate will allow the Steelers to better matchup with the dynamic WRs in the NFL today and also let both young CBs develop without either having to consistently cover the opposing teams top WR. -Destin Adams, A to Z Sports NFL Draft

I'll put it like this, if Arnold is even within striking distance of the Steelers in April, they had better move Heaven and Earth to get him. As Adams stated, he is viewed by many as the best corner in the class and would arguably create the best young CB duo in the league with him and Joey Porter Jr.

What's more likely, however, is the drafting of another Alabama CB:

Steelers Select Alabama CB Kool-Aid McKinstry

He's more than just a cool nickname. Kool-Aid defended 20 passes in the last two seasons, allowing just 4.3 yards per target for Alabama in that stretch. This pick locks up both outside corner positions for a good while in Pittsburgh. -Travis May, A to Z Sports NFL Draft

McKinstry isn't the athlete that Arnold is, but he profiles better for the Steelers' scheme given his tackling, physicality, and ability to play press coverage.

Pittsburgh can't go wrong either way, and Joey Porter Jr. would have his partner in crime for potentially a decade plus.
