Ben Roethlisberger, Hines Ward, James Harrison, Jerome Bettis, and Polamalu himself participated. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and defensive lineman Cam Heyward were in attendance for the event to show their support for Polamalu’s endeavor. Polamalu.

Working with the Resilience Project, which has recently focused efforts in places such as the Hill District, Polamalu called himself ‘grateful’ to make an impact in any way with the organization, which has an ever-evolving impact throughout the Pittsburgh region.

The Steelers showed steadfast support for the movement and organization. Polamalu and multiple former Steelers, like Casey Hampton, Heath Miller, Ike Taylor, Bryant McFadden, and others, stopped by the team’s first OTAs session on Tuesday to watch and return the favor on some of the support.

Polamalu called it ‘humbling’ to reconnect with his former teammates in such a manner, but the impact it would have on the communities around Pittsburgh makes the event all the more worth it for him and other Steelers.
