Steelers Locker Room Reacts to ‘Approachable’ Aaron Rodgers
USA TODAY Sports

Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers finally made a decision on where he was gong to be playing in 2025, as he signed with the team that many predicted him to, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

And his teammates already love him.

On a recent episode of "Not Just Football with Cam Heyward", the Steelers' legend opened up about the team's new field general, and in speaking for the locker room makes it sound like he appreciates him coming in and being a veteran presence.

"He brings a lot of leadership," Heyward said. "We were talking about this last night. Dude's a four-time MVP. That is nothing to look over. I got a chance to meet him. Very nice and approachable, and he is just excited to get down to business."

With how long it took Rodgers to make a decision, his teammates would have every right to be a little annoyed with him, but that does not seem to be the case, as they seem very excited to play with him.

Rodgers is coming in after a bit of a disappointing season in 2024 with the New York Jets, as they finished with a 5-12 record. But the rest of the team was not performing like many thought they would, so Rodgers is not the only person to blame for their performance.

The Steelers have made the playoffs each of the last two seasons thanks to some spectacular play from their defense, so they are hoping that bringing a leader in like Rodgers will put them over the top.
