Today marks the beginning of Pittsburgh Steelers mandatory minicamp and their new starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers was there, solidifying his ambitions to play football in 2025.
The 41-year-old also participated in the Irons for Impact yesterday event that supports All-Pro Cameron Heyward’s charity, the Heyward House. Rodgers, an avid golfer, was seen with some of his new teammates on the golf course yesterday and now he’s ready to get to work.
Following the first day of minicamp, many players on the roster shared their thoughts on having the four-time NFL MVP in the locker room.
“Sky’s the limit. The goal is to put up a lot of points every game. That’s what we’re here to do,” center Zach Frazier said.

Rodgers addressed the team today and according to Frazier, he’s excited about the team’s potential.
“He just said he’s all in. He’s ready to get to work,” Frazier added.
“It’s pretty cool. Myself as a little kid would be pretty excited, I mean I am too, but yeah it’s pretty cool.”
Rookie quarterback Will Howard, who was selected in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft might have originally believed he could play this year (still can if injuries occur), but his mindset is the one you want to have if you are new to the NFL.
“The opportunity to learn from and work with a guy like that is second to none,” Howard said. He seems fired up. He seems like he wants to be here and he’s all in.”

Second-year wide receiver Roman Wilson is expected to see a major jump in usage this season and he couldn’t contain his excitement for the Steelers’ new signal caller.
“I’m very excited,” Wilson said. “He’s probably a Hall of Famer, Super Bowl champion. Just a lot of experience - a lot of wisdom to learn from.”
