Roman Wilson had the best practice of his Pittsburgh Steelers career on Tuesday.
Consistently making plays and building a relationship with Aaron Rodgers, Wilson looked like the player the Pittsburgh Steelers drafted him to be.
But to take that potential and those flashes, and turn them into a consistent display on game days, Rodgers needs Roman to do one thing...
"I got to get [Wilson] out of his head a little bit," Rodgers told the media regarding the second year WR. "I think he's such a good kid. He cares so much about whether it's my approval or he's doing it right . .
" . . .He's just got to trust himself because he's so damn talented. The more that he can play free & not think out there, the better he's going to play. The more he can just trust what he's got and just go out and react, the better he's going to play."

It's hard when you lose the majority of your rookie season to just come back and have year two expectations placed on you, despite being a rookie in many regards. It's hard to tell a player to be free and loose and play with confidence when he knows what's at stake.
But a lot of times, pressing too hard leads to issues. Overthinking and trying to play perfectly can lead to you not making mistakes, but also not making plays. When you play tight and think about every little move, you miss the big picture.
Football is a game of instincts, even at WR. Spatial awareness, route tempo, sight adjustments, knowing when to break your route off, it all seems complicated and takes practice, but it only works when you play free of mind.
So if Roman is making plays when he's tight, then hopefully he can loosen up and show his true potential.
