Aaron Rodgers doesn't just generate headlines for his play on the field.
A lot of the time it's for everything he does off of it.
That has left many to paint the picture of a selfish millionaire that has one foot in and one foot out.
Mark Kaboly of The Pat McAfee Show paints a much different picture...
“Aaron Rodgers comes over, they’re playing huge games of cards right there, and he pulls up a chair next to Cam Heyward, Miles Killebrew. I don’t know if he played or not, but he’s jumping in there," said Kaboly on his podcast . "He’s trying not to offend Will Howard by saying, ‘Hey, why don’t you try this?’ Everything seems to be working. With Aaron Rodgers, I see no sense of entitlement. I see no sense of, ‘Hey, I’m Aaron Rodgers.’ He just came in trying to be one of the dudes.”
Rodgers invoked a lot of confidence in the Steelers during his initial address to the media. He mentioned the lore of the franchise, his trust and relationship with Mike Tomlin, familiarity with the coaching staff, and a feeling within his soul that brought him to Pittsburgh.
Sure, maybe he's a bit of an oddball. Maybe his offseason hobbies and interests aren't that of Ben Roethlisberger, which primarily consisted of beer and gold. But that doesn't mean he can't be a winning football player, and one that his teammates gravitate towards.
The team had not even finished minicamp, and Rodgers was planning workouts with his teammates in Malibu, and Pat Friermuth was talking about building chemistry over summer break.
Before the three-day stretch started, Rodgers was at Cam Heyward's charity event, and after minicamp, he, Mike Tomlin, and the other Steelers coaches gathered for a catered BBQ dinner at Tomlin's home.
So despite what many want you to believe about Rodgers, this wasn't some "ok, I guess I have to go minciamp" kind of attitude. He said multiple times that he had personal issues to attend to, and he never missed anything that was mandatory.
So yeah, I would say he's all in.
