Steelers request interview with Colts college scouting director Morocco Brown for GM job

One day after it was reported that the Pittsburgh Steelers were set to interview ESPN analyst Louis Riddick for their vacant general manager position, the team has requested permission to speak with another candidate.

Per Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, the Steelers have already announced interviews with Tennessee Titans executive Ryan Cowden, Los Angeles Chargers director of player personnel JoJo Wooden and Colts assistant GM Ed Dobbs as well. The team also has a pair of in-house candidates in pro scouting coordinator Brandon Hunt and vice president of football operations Omar Khan, according to Alper.

Prior to joining Indianapolis in 2016, Brown worked with Washington, Cleveland Browns and Chicago Bears.

Pittsburgh's outgoing GM Kevin Colbert has been with the club since 2000. During his run, the Steelers have posted a 226-124-3 regular-season record and 15-12 mark in the playoffs.

Under Colbert, the team has made the postseason 14 times and played in three Super Bowls, winning two of them.
